Mini Life Update + The Creative Spark ~ on TED Talks! :)

I just wanted to share with you one of the sources of inspirations that I love to use as a means of education and enlightenment during this abrupt career change and my transition from academia into the more expressive, creative realm.

I feel as though the times that I am the most busy are also when I am the most creative. Without the pressure of limited time on my hands I never push myself to do anything awesome. Being busy/productive has taught me to manage my time and try to accomplish as much as possible then afterwards, taking a small well deserved break.

I do, however, want to take the time to reflect upon this crazy transition that has been my life for the past couple of months and thank those who have helped me to go beyond self-doubt and harnessing my potential to be creative.

I've learned about myself these past couple of months that the two things you need to do to bring yourself to a happy place when pursuing your wants in life, is to:
One - Believe in yourself, and Two - Take action.

It felt as through everything else, such as opportunities and support from peers, naturally followed afterwards.

I'm still working my tail off as we speak and there is lots of learning to be done on my part, but if you guys would like to stay updated with my work, I've created a Facebook Page that I now upload my work to pretty regularly :)

If you are new to this blog, welcome!

The short story is that:
I used to be a sleep-deprived OCD pre-dental student at the University of Toronto that was high on coffee 24/7. And now I've turned into a sleep-deprived OCD makeup artist and hair stylist that is still high on coffee all of the time.... but also life at the same time :)

The long story...well, you will find out through my previous blog posts :) It's a year-long story that has gotten me up to this point but I'm glad to be focusing on the present!

I am finishing up some unfinished business at the University of Toronto this summer, and after the crazy exams I will be doing a post about the process, the school that I went to (an in-depth review for those who are interested and have been asking) and an overall life update!

This Sunday is quite exciting =) I am sharing my birthday with my boyfriend and my father as it is my boyfriend and I's 1 year anniversary!! How exciting! :) I still have the butterflies for that goofball everyday of my life. And I also get to celebrate Father's Day with my pops! So much joy this weekend as I celebrate with my fams, bf and bff! But I'll knock on wood as to not jinx it! Canada give me good weather pretty pleeeease!!.

Anyway before I deviate way too far (actually, that's sort of too late hehe!!!) from what I was trying to say is if you're in a similar phase in life and need some motivation to BE CREATIVE, and to pursue a career based on that creativity, I think that you'd love some of these videos. I have a few favourites that really stood out and spoke to me [Especially Ken Robinson's: "School Kills Creativity" & you probably know why!! lol] ", but I took a little bit from each speaker and I think that if you're at this phase in life, it's nice to get as much great information as possible. I'd recommend you watch the whole playlist! It's really a great one!

I leave you with these videos.
Enjoy, and until next time!

In order to cross the bridge ...

You must first secure the planks.

A whole world of opportunity may be waiting for you on the other side of that bridge, but what good are those opportunities if you're not ready for them?

I wanted to write a blog post yesterday about the progress I've made since having started school for makeup and hair. I've actually just graduated from Makeup & Airbrush so in retrospect I have progressed quite a bit, but when I had finished brainstorming for the post... I couldn't bring myself to write it. Something had held me back. And today, I have figured out what that something was.

My competitive nature can really get the best of me sometimes. It usually helps me on most occasions, especially when I need the motivation to be the best that I can be, and it can also help me to grasp instructions and learn concepts much quicker. But sometimes on the rare occasion it can become my absolute worst enemy and I end up beating myself up for a whole plethora of reasons. This time I was beating myself up for feeling like I am moving too slowly in life (for my age).

In general (since a very young age), I move through things fairly quickly. I like to multitask, do a whole bunch of things at once, and I always want to learn a little bit about everything. As a result I am usually referred to as the jack of all trades by friends and acquaintances. Some think that to be a compliment, but I've learned to really hate that I can do many things at a mediocre level instead of just a few things really well.

I like to have pressure motivate me and then look back and go, "Wow I can't believe I even managed to do that". That feeling is very gratifying for me. For example, when I was juggling 6 courses at UofT and studying for my DATS (Dental Admissions Test) at the same time, I still managed to see all of my friends, went home to see my family (even more than usual) and I continued to blog and go to blogger events. Any blogger reading this KNOWS that blogging takes up a lot of time! Now that my life is a little bit A LOT more relaxed and I can take my time to learn, I feel stressed that I am not progressing quick enough. I don't even have the motivation to blog unless I feel emotionally compelled to (like right now!).

It's horrible. I mean who wouldn't want more time to carefully learn their crafts and strengthen their skills? Everyone wants to have more TIME to do what they love. I have that time right now and I am complaining so something is definitely not right here.

Today my boyfriend had knocked (not literally) some sense into me today and he gave me a great analogy by relating building your career (or becoming good at anything in life really..) to building a suspension bridge. In China he had been watching workers work away at a suspension bridge meticulously laying down each piece of plank and securing them one by one. As tedious as it was, the workers showed very high attention to detail in addition to a supreme quality of craftsmanship. In relation to skill building, if you don't lay down a strong foundation, how will that bridge last you throughout your career? A weak foundation will result in the need to go back and invest more time and resources into fixing things that you've already spent time on building.

I want to learn everything so quickly and start working but I keep forgetting that the reason why I idolize and respect my instructors so much is because they are such extreme perfectionists. They took the time to perfect their craft, to work for little to no money in order to gain the experience They also continue to be in love with what they do every single day. I must remember that I am still working on trying to be really GREAT at what I've already learned, and not so much on rushing to only skim by and learn everything that is taught in this industry. I have to slow myself down and fight against what's really natural to my personality as being a jack of all trades will weaken my focus and it will hinder my ability to build a stronger foundation for my career.

So before I open my mouth next time to say anything negative about myself I must remember to enjoy the process of learning and perfect every skill that I've gained to the very best of my ability.

Even age is often the motivating factor behind my competitive nature, it is not something that should motivate me (not anyone else for that matter). The passion that you have for what you do should motivate you and continue to be your guidance and encouragement to achieve your goals. I must remember to be patient and practice my craft so I can eventually produce brilliant quality work. When that day comes then I can confidently cross that bridge to the opportunities that lie ahead and know firmly that I won't need to look back.

As always, good luck to everyone and their endeavors! Keep working for the things that you believe in, and even though sometimes it can be hard, try your best to always be positive :)

Goldwell and KMS California Hair Products!!

I've been anticipating the end of classes partly because I wanted to get my blog back on track! I'm now finally able to put up this post!!!

As of this monday April 8th 2013, I'm eligible for my Makeup and Airbrush Diploma! :) Now just waiting for my diploma and final portfolio prints to come in. I'll mention a little bit about that last shoot in this post. We were working with photographer David Hou www.DavidHou.com (and it was an absolute privilege to work with him!) and when he had saw me holding the KMS hairspray he commented that he loves KMS California products and the flexibility that they give to hair styling! I wish I had asked for the name of the product, but he said it's a certain pomade product.

So foremost, a quick thank you to KMS for making me stand out to the professional :)

NOW, let's start the review!

I've used these products for about a month now and I feel that it's about time for a thorough review.

A very special thanks to Yasmin from Kao Canada Inc. for sending these products to me to try out. I'm so thrilled to have been able to test out these great quality products and have them for my upcoming hair courses at the School of Professional Makeup!

"Kao Canada Inc., is a leading manufacturer of premium beauty care brands that are recognized around the world for their innovation and quality."

In addition to manufacturing brands such as Goldwell and KMS California, they are also the manufacturers of these popular brands that I'm sure you've heard of before (and more)!

{photo source: http://www.kaobrands.com/}

On to the review shall we?

When I had first propped open the well-packaged box, I was SHOCKED at the amount of things that were inside. Yasmin had told me she'd be sending me samples to review, and of course I happily accepted (just a note to my readers, I frequently turn DOWN reviews as sometimes I am simply not interested or feel that the product won't be beneficial to me or the demographic of readers on my blog) -- I was just expecting a deluxe size sample of everything, at most! BUt anyway I was so PUMPED to try everything out and the products still live up to their hype a month later as I am reviewing them :) I can't wait to use them in school and on my future clients.

The second emotion that I felt was utter confusion (I'm actually really horrible with doing hair, hence I need the hair course) so naturally I went and tried out the product that I was the most familiar with, and that was the bottle of hairspray!

1. PLAYABLE TEXTURE (hairspray) - KMS California

The first thing that I had noticed about this product was that it has a very convenient packaging! Not only do I love the current colour scheme of the KMS California products but I love that I'll never have to go looking for a LID when I use the hairspray!! Drives me nuts when I knock over a lid or have it go missing or I can't put it on properly in the first try and it's lopsided =_=.

Love love love!!!! The packaging!!! :)))

Since starting school, the girls that I had met at school (including my instructor) have been constantly been telling me not to wash my hair everyday (I couldn't help it! Noone ever told me that it was wrong until my very late teens. It's hard to break a bad habit), and so for this review I did not wash my hair for 3 days and I sprayed my hair with the KMS California Playable Texture hairspray only ONCE when I had done my hair on NIGHT 1.

I had curled my hair, sprayed my whole head (except for the crown/roots) twice, took a photo and called it a night. I slept comfortably in the hairstyle, my hair was still flexible and smooth and very easy to comb through with a brush or my fingers. So far so good!

24 hours later:
At this point I was killing myself not to wash my hair for the sake of this review LOL BUT as you can see even though the top of my head had gotten flatter (because of oil produced on my scalp + weight of hair + sleeping on hair, my curls were still holding! I was impressed. I went to bed again and..........

12 Hours later
At school I had one of my classmates take this photo of my hair. At this point (3rd day of not washing hair) I had no choice but to put my hair into a pony tail or my scalp would be constantly screaming for a good shampooing! As you can see the curls in my hair are still really distinct, and keep in mind I did NOT spray again. I didn't spray again not only because I was trying to fairly test out the product's capabilities, but I also didn't want to add anymore things onto my hair.

I am happy that I had done this for the review because guess what bad habit that I ended up breaking (once I had found out that it's really not that bad)?? YEYYY YEAHH I had stopped washing my hair everyday! It took a while to get used to but now I wash it on every third day instead =) And my scalp has fully adapted to that in 3 weeks and as a result, it doesn't produce oil like crazy on the 2nd day and my hair feels much much healthier in general.

Before I had gone out at night on NIGHT 3, I had introduced a second product  just to get rid of the flyaway stray and baby hairs. I usually use this product for just this on pony tail days. I use it for either a clean but lazy pony tail or for a sleek, pin straight editorial and high pony tail.

2. Molding Paste - KMS California

"Provides texture, definition and pliable hold. Use: Work through towel-dried hair for shaping and texture. Use in dry hair for definition."

I really love the new packaging! I'm a big fan of this product! I didn't realize that I actually own it because well.. the packaging had changed! Ever so slightly though. I mean the actual physical packaging is the same form. It's also still in a convenient pump plastic bottle but the theme of colours are much ediger, fun, bright, eye-catching and the writing is much more clear and contrasting against the main background colour.

My brother and I both use this product. He uses it to style his longish hipster bangs to the side and I use it to neaten up my pony tail. It's texture (starts off a viscous white paste) disappears instantly and doesn't leave a SHINE like the one you get from using gel. Although it's not entirely matte, it has a nice subtle SHEEN to it.

So this was 8+ hours later after the photo that was taken in class my hair looks like this. The curls looked like they've barely changed. I used just a breath of the product (molding paste) to smooth down my hair and re-pinned it (NOTE: I don't even have to use water, the product appears sticky and white when pumped out of the bottle BUT just disappears once you work it into the hair). Even though my hair is oily at this point, the product doesn't make it look greasier. The integrity of the texture of my hair is still nicely maintained.

3. Clay Creme & Messing Creme - KMS California

I used the clay creme and the messing creme together.

In terms of Flexibility I would say from .....

MOST flexible (but less strong hold) ---------> to LEAST flexible (stronger hold) it'd be:
KMS California: MESSING CREME ---> MOLDING PASTE ---> CLAY CREME

1) Messing creme:
"Instantly creates grip and fullness for a lived-in, 2nd-day style. Use: Work through towel-dried hair and air or blow dry for fullness. Use on dry hair for 2nd-day texture."

  2) Clay Creme:
Creates roughed-up texture and strong, flexible hold with a matte finish. Use: Work through towel-dried hair and air dry for roughed-up style. Use in dry hair to sculpt."

So to me, molding paste (2nd reviewed product) is like the inbetween product of messing creme and clay creme when I want FLEXIBILITY and medium-strong HOLD, I use the molding paste.

This is my friend CZ (blocking his face for privacy), he was happily forced into being my hair model (and as well as my makeup model on some occasions) :D haha! Just kidding he volunteered.

In both styles I had used both the Messing Creme AND the Clay creme but different RATIOS of both.

STYLE 1:

I had first used MAINLY (5/6th of) the MESSING CREME, to give his dull hairstyle a quick little flavour: With the hairs that were less cooperative, I put in just a breath (1/6th) of CLAY CREME to hold them in place. I wanted to give him just a really effortless style and give his hair some volume. This style took literally 2 minutes to do, and probably 1 minute had I not been a perfectionist. With the MESSING CREME smoothed out on my fingers I ran my fingers through the hairs and pushed them in the opposite direction of growth and then just styled the hairs into the directions that I had wanted to achieve the look. With the uncooperative hair pieces I put a little bit of CLAY CREME to keep them in place.

STYLE 2:
This second style my boyfriend likes to call "HK celebrity style" LOL. Apparently a lot of the older male HK stars like to do the comb over. I just wanted to test out the hold power of the CLAY CREME.

The majority of this hairstyle was CLAY CREME, and I used a bit of the MESSING CREME to just push his baby hairs at the front and flyaways into place without putting too much product into his hair. His hair definitely required the CLAY CREME to do the comb over style. He has very thick and dense (lots of it!) hair and the CLAY CREME's strong hold makes it easy to achieve this style in less than 3 minutes. It took a little bit more time because I wanted to comb it over but give it a little volume at the same time. I spread the product through his hair (after making his hair a little damp), combed it through with a comb and then used the comb to hold down the TIP of the hair while pushing back and LIFTING the middle of the hair for some added volume! (give's some curves/roundness to the top of his head to look like volume).

KMS California also has a little handy lookbook of hairstyle inspirations and steps to achieve them!

4. ELIXIR - GOLDWELL

I've saved the best product for last. I am so happy to have received this product and I can say after a month of usage it is now, without a doubt, my favourite oil treatment product.

WHY favourite?
1) SMELL: The first thing that I had noticed about it was that it did NOT have a heavy oil smell. The colour of the bottle made me fear trying out a product that may be sweet smelling. I don't prefer the smell of sweet oils in my hair (not a fan of coconut oil/shea butter in my hair - easily get headaches). It smells fresh, light, like an expensive salon product that I always want to put into my hair! I don't know how else to describe it. Smells like a really refined product.
2) PUMP BOTTLE: I fell in love with the way that the bottle looks. The colour, the name of the product, and the fact that it pumps out just the right amount that you will need to spread in your palms and work through your hair.
3) LIGHT & NON-GREASY: I put 3 pumps (1 at a time) of this product into my hair on a day that the air feels extra drying. The bottom of my hair is extremely rough and dry and as I work more into my hair it gets silkier and smoother each time BUT NEVER BECOMES HEAVY or WET LOOKING or GREASY LOOKING.

Side note: I am a huge fan of Biosilk (I'm sure a lot of you have heard about it and have used it), I've mentioned it many times on this blog and have been a fan of it for probably a decade. I also refuse to try other oils/serums because I love it so much.

Elixir reminds me a lot of the quality of biosilk but feels a lot more refined, better packaged, smells just as great, and I even feel that it works a little better (the "doesn't become oily" part really sells me because a little too much of some oils and you have this really wet look). You can also put it into your hair while it is DAMP. I put in quite a bit of the Elixir when I want my hair to be super silky and so far I haven't had break outs from the hair touching my face, and it doesn't feel heavy what-so-ever. I don't feel the effect of the oil making my hair greasier by day two and normally I avoid putting too much  serum/oil in my hair because of that reason.

So there you have it, that's why this is my fav product out of the bunch and it's also become my new favourite oil treatment for my hair. I've been using it everyday since I've received it and my hair feels a lot healthier and a lot less tangled!

Before I had cut my hair this month (ew..), my ends were super dry and dead (still are but a lot better than this photo!). After I had put in the Elixir and took a photo (with flash), you can really see the healthy shine that it's given my hair and it's helped to calm the frizzies and soften the look of my dead ends.

Speaking of hair, here's a sneak peak at our photoshoots on the last day of school. KMS California Playable Texture Spray was used in the hair of both of the models to hold their curls.

Below in the pink head piece is Ceileigh, my second model of the day. I wanted to give her a really soft look with beautiful soft curly locks. Makeup and Hair piece done by yours truly and Hair done by talented Sasha Muir.

One of my classmates (Kasia on the RIGHT) had bought her own hairstylist (Sasha Muir) and she ended up helping all of us with the hair for our shoots (bless her soul!). She was using her own hairspray at first and then after I had brought out the KMS California during touch up, she had asked me to use my hairspray instead because it holds curls much better in straight hair than her spray does.

I can't wait until our actual PRINTS come in, our photographer was AH....just AMAZING. We all ended up with very strong shots for our portfolios.

And Lastly,
Yasmin had mentioned to me that KMS California's Messing Creme had won the German Packaging Award!

How cool that their packaging reflects the capabilities of their Messing Crème product to create a messy second-day look and texture for the hair!

A special thanks again to Yasmin (Kao Canada Inc.), to KMS California and Goldwell for this opportunity to review the products. I enjoyed them very much and I can't wait to apply them to my Hairworks program!

Refresh ~

Today was the first day that I was able to wake up without an alarm and I had proceeded to look forward to a day without any (welcomed) obligations!!! Just a ME day. I haven't had one of those in such a long time and it was just so wonderfully refreshing.

As some of you may have read in one of my previous posts, I've already started school to become a professional makeup artist. *sigh of relief*!! I haven't felt this happy with myself in a very long time.

This morning one of my friends had called me to ask what my plans were for today and I was so happy to tell him that I was doing absolutely "nothing"! Just whatever I wanted to do today because I had pushed myself to the limit this entire week. He reminded me of how things used to be like at this time of year about a year ago. Things were on an entirely different path back then and I was a completely different person. He said that I sound much happier, and indeed I am...much...much happier!

I am so busy pushing forward with my career, I literally could not find the words to describe how I feel on some days because after one thing I have another thing I have to dive right into. That's also why I haven't been able to update my blog as frequently! My brain is not in a single state of mind long enough to put my thoughts into writing.

I've been schooling during the weekday and working every weekend on gigs since I've started my program. While working I realized that this kind of career choice (trades/freelance) really humbles you as you're working with so many people who are extremely talented. You become truly thankful and appreciative to be involved in so many different opportunities, and to me, the key to being successful is to never become complacent or overly confident.

I've gotten in on a few gigs within a few weeks of starting school (normally people have a difficult time to find gigs even once they've graduated) but by no means do I feel even a slight bit of accomplishment. I feel appreciative and lucky, that's for sure, but 'accomplished' is a word that I will not be using for months and years to come.

On another note, I finally got the domain for my online portfolio a few months back and now that I've worked on a few gigs/shoots, my MUA website and portfolio building will begin! Before the hectic Monday begins again (tomorrow), I'm going to take today to sip my tea, eat my macarons, & take it ezzzzz ! :)

Although the week exhausts me (to the point of missing stops EVERY time I get onto the public transit) and puts me into constant zombie mode (it's like my body is awake and working, but my brain just wants to sleep...), I couldn't be happier with my progress at this point.

I'm going to take my time and enjoy the process of getting to where I want to be in life. I am blessed to have had the support system to encourage me to keep moving forward.

As the photographers send me the photos of my makeup looks and the behind-the-scenes footage, I'll share what I've been up to in the last couple of weeks.

Some unsolicited advice I'd like to share with my readers:

(They're positive things that I like to re-emphasize to myself from time to time. In addition to keeping me happy and positive, they keep me focused and my head in the game.)

1/ ALWAYS DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY.
2/ BE WILLING TO ACCEPT FAILURE, DON'T BE AFRAID TO TRY NEW THINGS
3/ SHOW OTHERS KINDNESS, AND YOU WILL GET THE SAME IN RETURN
4/ BE HUMBLE.
5/ NEVER BECOME COMPLACENT
6/ YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE ;). Somedays, just say to yourself/others: WHO THE HELL CARES. And do what you want to do! (As long as it's not hurtful or illegal lol......)
7/ BE CONFIDENT IN YOURSELF. You are capable of more than you know...
8/ NEVERRR...EVER.. SETTLE FOR LESS.
9/ STAY TRUE TO YOUR MORALS. (I cannot emphasize this one enough)
10/ EAT YOUR HEART OUT :)

With that, I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend. Monday is tomorrow, and we'll all face it with a positive attitude and a great outlook on life!

xoxo,
Valentina

Reppin' Toronto! & Happy Valentine's Day

What a great week it was for the Toronto Raptors.

Although I am not a huge basketball fan (my boyfriend is the one who's secretly trying to make me fall in love with basketball..), it was such an exhilarating experience to be a part of the crowd when Rudy Gay (#22) had made the winning-shot [on Feb 12th when the Toronto Raptors were playing against the Denver Nuggets].

My boyfriend got us amazing seats as one of his Valentine's Day surprises for us. You can see him in the crowd when Rudy makes the shot. I was sitting on his left (blocked by Rudy). I'm glad that he was the one who got to be in the frame instead of me, he definitely appreciates it a lot more than I would have.

[Red arrow pointing to le BF]

Then less than a week later, rookie Terrence Ross (#31) from the Toronto Raptors takes home the trophy for winning the 2013 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest. He slam dunked while jumping over a kid, and did another one with a tribute to Vince Carter. Sooooooo Sick.

Our vote counted in that 58% :)))) ... I hope. There was 10 seconds left when I remembered to vote lolll

Come to think of it...I think bf's secret master plan to get me to love basketball is somewhat (because I don't quite LOVE it yet) working.

When we first went to the Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors game in LA, I thought to myself that being at a game was pretty fun but I still didn't enjoy watching the game itself. I loved the pre-game (the dancing, the hype, the energy), the half-time, and all that entertainment jazz. I also got a pretty decent picture (of a picture on the screen) of Kobe.

;)

Then this past week's raptors game I really... actually... enjoyed watching the game. We had amaaaazing seats. The game was so close the entire time because the teams kept tie-ing all the way until the end, and how amazing was it that we were on the side of the net where Rudy Gay had made the winning shot! One big thing that made the game enjoyable was that I could finally root for my city. I had no idea who to root for in LA :s

I really appreciated the fact that my bf could have brought any of his close basketball friends, but he wanted to share his love for b-ball with me. <3 (His friends were insanely jealous and said to him that he should take someone who actually cares about bball HAHA..I felt so bad because it's true that they would actually appreciate it more)

ANYWAY. SICK....... GO TORONTO RAPTORS :) Make us proud!!!

I hope every had an amazing Valentines! <3 (or just an amazinggg day if it's another ordinary day in your books :D)

Happy Lunar New Year 2013!

Happy Chinese New Year !

Gung Hay Fat Choy !

Xian Nian Kuai Le !

Chúc Mừng Năm Mới !

ChúTết !

Or however you say it......
I'd just like to wish you a Happy New Year filled with lots of love, luck, and prosperity! :)

[Spicy Beef Jerky on top of papaya+carrot salad with fish sauce mix - the sauce tastes sweet, sour and spicy. Vietnamese people love their saaauces.]

I spent all afternoon helping my mom cook in the kitchen. So much work goes into a meal that's finished in like... 20 minutes. This year we opted for a small quiet family dinner since my brother is finally back from college this weekend. The last month has been full of obligated (thank-you/good-bye/long-lost-friends-visiting) dinner parties non-stop, it's like we never ever have any privacy in our own home.

These were three of my favourite dishes from today's dinner:

1) Fish Maw Soup. Up until this year, I didn't even know what that Jelly thing was that I was eating. I thought it was a plant in all honesty. I warn you not to look it up if you have a weak stomach for random exotic foods =___=. If I hadn't been eating it for so many years I'd probably freak out.... but not as bad as when I had eaten Sea Cucumber for the first time in China 0.0 (coming up in a future post about Guangzhou ---- I know... I know I've said I'll put up those pictures since forever now, I'm still sorting through the photos, I took way too many :p)
2) My mom's famous sweet and spicy garlic chicken wings. My bf can eat 30 of these in one go, probably more if he didn't feel so horrible after eating so much meat hahah.
3) Papaya+carrot salad topped with cilantro, spicy beef jerky and my mum's fish sauce mix (lemon juice, water, crushed garlic, sugar, & hot red peppers). It's incredibly filling, and healthy (for the most part!).

Whether or not you celebrate Chinese New Year, I'd like to wish you an abundance of happiness and luck for the year of 2013. May you achieve everything that you set your mind to! <3

Lots of love,
Valentina
